Dumbbells vs Kettlebells for big biceps?

I have been using kettlebells for about 8 months, and ya they give a killer workout for the biceps, because you can really keep tension on the biceps throughout the curling movement. Well yesterday I bought a pair of dumbells, and did a bicep workout with them today. It felt different… but I can’t really tell if I got as good of a workout because once I curled the dumbell up to my shoulder, the tensions would leave my bicep. So, basically I didn’t bring my dumbell all the way up to my shoulder for the rest of my sets. Which would be better for biceps? kettlebell curls or dumbbell curls?

Both of them are equally good actually. Maybe the dumbbells you bought were lower in weight. You should also add some concentration curls if you want longer biceps, since your regular curls will give your biceps MASS, while the concentration curls will give them length.

To do concentration curls at home, make sure you are sitting on a bench. Now rest your tricep ( not elbow ) against your thigh ( left tricep against the left thigh obviously ) and then do your bicep curl. Since the tricep is lodged against your thigh, it will prevent swinging and extra range of motion.
It feels like a completely different bicep workout.

I have to disagree, first off you can’t make your biceps longer by doing concentration curls, that doesn’t make sense, they only get longer if your arm bones grow longer. Second, both dumbbells and kettlebells can be good. To get bigger biceps tho you have to do a couple things, increase your biceps curl volume(do more sets of curls), increase the weight you use, or both. Then your biceps will continue to grow. Good luck!
