What do you think? Like to hear from people who have tried losing weight with kettlebells or other work outs.

There is no “BEST” work out routine beyond one that you will do on a regular basis and makes you burn calories. You want to have a mix of cardio and Weight training. I have tried kettlebell but my preference runs towards bench press/dumbbells with some machine work thrown in for variety.

It’s important to understand that a kettlebell, itself, is just a tool. It’s a chunk of metal that you can lift and swing around. It’s very similar to a dumbbell except that the handle is on the outside instead of the middle.
The programs that are often associated with kettlebells is where you’ll find the difference. They tend to be high-intensity, full-body workouts, which are good for fat loss to a degree. Like a previous poster said, the best workout is one that you will do for a long time. If you don’t like the workouts you find for use with kettlebells, you probably won’t stick to them. At that point, they won’t be effective for anything.
All that said, you can do pretty much any kettlebell workout with a dumbbell. So if you have dumbbells available, there is no reason to go out and spend more money on kettlebells.
Fat loss results will some mostly from diet anyway, so choose exercise based on it’s availability to you and whether or not you like it.
