Are kettlebells any good?

Is it worth it to purchase a kettlebell to add into a workout? I got adjustable dumbells, but they make me too bulky so i alternate between that and doing like burpees, jump rope and pullups. is a 35 1b kettlebell a good starter? i’m a male 5"8 165 muscular build.

You should be fine with a 35lb kettlebell. Just do swings for a while, see if you can last 3-5 minutes. It will give you an awesome burn in your legs and good cardio if you’re doing them right.

It wouldn’t be bad to have a set of them, but for $2/lb you’re getting expensive.

kettle bells and mma?

what are some kettlebell workouts to help become more proficient at muay thai and jiu jitsu

Hi , man , i wanted to see what others have to say about this subject , but nobody answers . So here i am .

First of all , as everybody knows , you can use KB`s in 2 ways . For building strength and / or strength enduro ( cardio ) .

As a fighter ,you sir , need both . I presume that ,by very nature of your question ,you already know about usefulness of KB`s .

So , first you work on your slow strength – cleans + presses
– see – saw presses
– squats , TGU`s & so on

Then you work on your enduro – snatches , swings , jump rope , heavy bag work ….

Dont try to smash everything into one workout , be smart , week is long and you have only one body . For example , you alone have to know if you `ll be able to work on your ketlebells after a brutal muay thai session . Maybe just few circuits of swings and bag work , or just the snatches and shadow box . And leave the pure strength KB for another day , when your are fresh .

Help me with a workout schedule?

Okay I already go to a boxing gym about 4 times a week.
We do tons of calisthetics and lots of bag work and cardio.

When i’m at home bored I made a workout schedule tell me what you think.

I do Pull-ups,Clap Push-ups,Bench Rows,Dips,and My forearms one day.
The day after I do abs, kettlebell for lower back, squats, and shoulders.

my ab workouts consist of planks,sit-ups,russian twists,and broomstick twists.

I start monday and repeat this untill saturday with sunday as my day off.

Is this a good schedule? or should I change it? what do you think?

im not sure what kind of body ur looking to get but i would incorporate more legs excersises to build up ur leg muscles maybe some dead lifts might help but other than that it looks solid to me good luck with it
